Welcome to 2008
In January 2008 we purchased a Forest River Berkshire during our holiday in Florida. Our plan was to have two homes for full time living. One in the states and one in europe. After our holiday we returned to europe in order to organise storage facilities for the Sunseeker and to visit friends and family in the UK. In March we flew back to Florida to collect the Berkshire and to commence our trip to Alaska. Joann and Mitch invited us to Charleston, South Carolina for Passover in April. After we left them we drove to British Columbia via Tennessee and Indiana during April and May. We completed the Alaskan Highway during June and returned to Oroville in Washington State in July. Unfortunately not only did the RV prove unreliable, but so did US Border Control. They refused to reissue our B2 visitor visas at the Canadian border. We therefore had to change our plans for our second home in the US. If visas were to become an issue and we weren't sure if the RV would start without a problem each time, we just couldn't go ahead with our plan. It was a very difficult decision to reach, and we had to let friends down when we got an early opportunity to sell her.
We returned to the Sunseeker in August and took a break on the Costa Brava, pretty exhausted after such a stressful 6 months in the States.
