The final Bank Holiday of the summer is here already and to celebrate I'm giving away copies of my first book; 'Motorhome Life, A Few Tips and Ideas'. It is available all day on Monday August 25th up until midnight. Over 600 copies of the book have been downloaded since June 8th, when I first published it, so Click here and enjoy a quick read while you relax this weekend. If you do get it, please leave a positive review on the Amazon site. Any negatives let me know as I am rewriting a second version and can make amends.
The wheels on the bus go round and round. Yes folks I'm back on Megabus again. This time it's Norwich to Bristol for four quid! Let's hope it's a Mega bus for the right reasons. I'm also blogging on the move. Obvious, I know, I've just told you I'm on a bus. This is noteworthy because I meant to update the blog at the weekend when I hope to catch more readers. One thing lead to another and I didn't get it done. (Obvious again.) I'll get to the point in a minute, bear with me. My house sit finished on Sunday, I moved back into the flat and with two very long days working Monday and Tuesday I finished the final proof of the second version of my book. If any followers out there are interested in having a read through please let me know.
Finally, the reason I made a fanfare about being on the bus is that I'm using a new Weebly app for my mobile phone. Blogging on the move now. Take care, and enjoy the rest of the week. Ali
Some of you will be aware that I am going through a short phase of needing to stop a while and have a rest from the travelling merry-go-round that is my life with Mike. A flat in Norwich for six months and I haven't even managed to stay the pace with that, as I moved house last week. I am currently residing in a beautiful home while friends are away on holiday. I am custodian of the plants, vegetable patch, a pond stocked with very expensive looking fish and a couple of hamsters. Mike turned up last week and so my menagerie is now complete.
Motorhome owners can be roughly divided into two groups. Dwellers enjoy a home from home and travellers stay on the move. As a dweller you carry a greater load, there's more planning involved and less flexibility in terms of manoeuvrability but when you arrive at your destination you can set up for longer with all your stuff. Travellers are able to pack up quickly if they wish and make decisions on where to go based on a whim. The irony is that I needed to dwell a while to give me the opportunity to write about living in a motorhome. There is an odd tingling sensation in my feet and so we can safely say I'm not suffering a mid-life crisis but the feet are starting to itch for our autumn trip.
Have fun this summer, whatever your plans, and below is a picture of Mike with two of his grandchildren in Germany.
I love travel, any type. There is always a buzz in finding & exploring a place for the first time, meeting and making new friends and if you return things are never quite the same.
