We were back on Parque Da Palmeira in Albufeira at the weekend. It was full and there were problems with the electric hook up. The management took a non-commercial approach to deal with those that were complaining about the intermittent supply. They just said, "If you don't like it, you can leave". Between 20 and 30 motorhomes checked out as a result. Us non complainers had power restored later in the day with no interruptions thereafter.
There are still hundreds of campervans on the Algarve. Mike was told that there have been incidents in Morocco involving groups at the side of the road throwing stones at passing motorhomes. I'm not alarmist and haven't been there so whether this is true I don't know. There does seem to be higher numbers here than is usually the case during the winter months. Some owners have filthy habits, as a few individuals have been caught on camera tipping their black waste into the river at Silves. Others have also been seen stealing water from the new Aire in Silves whilst the managers were away at lunch. This type of behaviour is not in the spirit of the game!
Here endeth the news, have a great weekend, Ali and Mike
