At 11pm loud waltz music started playing by the lake which heralded a fantastic firework display for one of the weddings. The daughter of a wealthy industrialist in Minsk was getting married. We had the perfect view through the windscreen of the van.
Today we continued our drive to Niasviz Castle. Yet another UNESCO site. On the way we stopped to buy vegetables by the side of the road. The elderly lady laughed as Jon took her photograph, I noticed some gold crowns and wondered if dental care is affordable or if the people are as poor as they look.
This castle had reopened fairly recently following a 15 year renovation programme. It had been restored beautifully and smelt like a new house.
