This has to be one of my best days. After several years of procrastination, deliberation, insecurity and general reasons that I don't even know myself-now that I've done it, I have finally published a book. It's available to buy or borrow through Amazon Kindle. If you don't have a Kindle, and can't wait for the paperback version, you don't need a Kindle device to read it. Just download a free Kindle Reading App from the Amazon website and you could be up and running within a few minutes. Click here for the link to the App. The book provides a quick read to share our hints and tips for motorhoming beginners, as well as those who are interested in how Mike and I got started with our lifestyle, and it costs less than a 12 oz cup of coffee. If you do buy it, please take the time to feedback-positive reviews on Amazon go a long way. I'll be posting a link on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn, so if you like it please share with your contacts. Don't worry though, I won't carry on shouting off the rooftops with this, ad nauseam. I'm just in a beginner's frenzy of excitement because I'm getting on with my new venture. If you think I have missed anything in the book, please contact me, rather than leaving negative reviews, as I will be able to make changes for the paperback which I plan to publish in July. As you can see, I have accompanied the book launch with a new look, face- lifted website. I think it's brighter and fresher than the original, and easier to navigate. I have removed most of the advertising affiliate links as I think they were just slowing everything down and they certainly weren't earning me any dosh. An Amazon search box remains on the right of this post, so if you fancy doing some shopping, make a start from there and I get a 5% share of the sale. Apologies, if this all reads like a love-fest for Amazon, my excitement will die down and you won't feel like the 'A' word is being rammed down your throat after today. Please do let me know what you think of the new site, if you have the time and energy. I welcome positive and constructive comments. Now, enough about me. What about Mike and the van? Mike is well and so is the van. The factory has done a wonderful job of the restoration to its pre-accident glory. Mike's love of the open road, and our van, is rekindled as he compiles the departure list of jobs, including MOT and service. Then he will head off to Europe and resume his solo meanderings, following his whims on where to go next. I'll provide regular updates on his progress, which will make a blog about motorhome life more interesting for those that follow us for that reason. Who wants to read about my day for goodness sake? I spend most days straining my eyes in front of the computer screen. ![]() Robert joined us for a meal out last night, a delicious feast at the Edith Cavell in Norwich. This kicks off my ten days of birthday celebrations. I'll make more noise for the big 5-O next year, you can be sure about that.
