Below are some photos from our trip.
Black Friday leaves me out in the cold as it's something that has crept up on us from the States as a thinly veiled piece of marketing to get us out shopping. Never mind that Thanksgiving means nothing to us Brits. (Unless we have firm ties to the USA, of course). However I may have to retract my opinionated ways with this because it seems I could have benefitted. Here's how; I was checking the link from the homepage of this site back to the Amazon website. Imagine my astonishment when I saw that the paperback book carried a 24% discount. It's competitively priced at £6.99 to reflect the low page count but it's now even cheaper at £5.29. This is an Amazon promotion, not mine, so I have no idea when it will end. Do take advantage, this may be a Black Friday promotion extended over the weekend so get your copy and click here to take you to the correct page.
Incidentally, the paperback has now been out for a year and had sold 710 copies, which I am amazed by. Thank you so much to anyone that bought a copy, I hope you enjoyed it.
Finally, Mike returned to his gap life (thank you to Paul Jackson, via Facebook for that new way to describe Mike's lifestyle) today. It's wall to wall sunshine on the Algarve and he's moved the moho off the aire it was stored at to the new one next to the castle at Silves. This is owned by a local businessman and run by his two daughters. It's only been open a couple of weeks and Mike says it's great. The only pitfall is that he keeps tripping the electric supply, so we don't know if that's him or them. Anyway, good to support a new venture. Finally, it was our wedding anniversary today. We tied the knot in Las Vegas 9 years ago and the Revd. Keith Love ('Yes, that is my name'), performed the ceremony. We were joined by over 20 guests and had the proceedings available online live and for a month after the event for anyone unable to make it. 9 years! Ridiculous, only seems like yesterday.
So that's all for now folks, thanks for reading and have a great week,
Ali
