We first set off on our full-timing adventure in our little house on wheels on December 27th 2002. Neither of us had owned a motorhome before, although Mike had had a caravan when his children were young, which was relevant for us starting out. He knew about chemicals for the toilet, grey water, driving abroad, leisure batteries and that's all I can think of off the top of my head. All I knew was that after a conversation with my friend Katrina, where she pointed out that I didn't want to be cold. I'm just rubbish at it. Fortunately our new CI Riviera 181 had a blown air gas central heating system and because Mike is allergic to cold wet climates in the winter we headed south anyway and bought a fan heater.
Now back to my new found blogging guru, Tom Reynolds. He updated his blog five times a week. I think this sets my bar pretty high. This poor blog gets neglected and will I be able to write often enough to keep my readers' interests alive? Well, I'll give it a go and throw in the occasional post concerning practical tips and Motorhome Lifer news.
Have a great week,
Ali and Mike
Oh, by the way, Mike has been up with D and V since 1.00 am, which clearly means I have too. (Awake that is, not suffering with his malaise.) The only thing he ate which I didn't was a sausage roll so I guess that could be the culprit. He's now feeling much better which is a relief, but it'll be early nights all round tonight. I also feel a bit responsible because I bought him the sausage roll, but how were we to know? These bugs don't advertise themselves do they?
