The National Motorhome Show was a couple of weekends ago at the Peterborough Showground. The MMM magazine asked me if I would like to present at one of their free seminars and the topic was preparing for long-term trips (longer than 3 months). As I posted on here and on Facebook I was pretty anxious. This was a proper, formal 'do' complete with stage, podium, microphone and powerpoint presenation. Convinced I would turn into a bright red quivering jelly, then dissolve into a blob of grease on the floor had made me suffer from the condition I created beforehand called Acute Anxiety Syndrome (AAS). Thank goodness I didn't make an AAS of myself and the audience liked it – although on a technical note I didn't apparently need to lean into the microphone. Anyway, I was grateful of the support from Mike and our new friends from Myrtle T Motorhome. A few Myrtle Mates were able to come and give support for me and we also enjoyed their hospitality in the evenings, although it was so bloomin' freezin' one night we couldn't meet in the Myrtle Marquee. For me, the fun loving spirits lead by Paul and Helen are what motorhoming should be about. Laughter, generosity not the critical types that one occaisionally comes across. Good grief, am I getting preachy?
