We spent the night parked next to a lake just outside the city. Nice and quiet and peaceful. At lunchtime we drove to the Stalin Lines war museum and monument. There were some bunkers that were original but the rest had been built and included trenches. There was loads of military equipment including tanks, guns, aircraft and vehicles. Every few minutes a loud shot would ring out from the firing range in the car park, which would set off the car alarms. When we had finished there we drove back to our lakeside spot near Minsk. Mike and I went for a walk and and caught a couple of lovers in their car. Clearly enjoying themselves and completely engrossed they didn't even notice us walk past.
I love travel, any type. There is always a buzz in finding & exploring a place for the first time, meeting and making new friends and if you return things are never quite the same.
