Before we left Oppenau on Monday lunchtime we said goodbye to the Dutch couple who had been parked next to us all week. They were unexpectedly very sorry to see us go and 'Mrs' bear hugged me, slapped my right buttock and gave it a firm squeeze. I took it in the friendly way that I am sure was her intention and it would be very nice to see them again if our paths crossed. They had given us a few tips of nice places to visit, we took their suggestions on board and went to Donaueschingen. It was a delightful little town, we particularly liked the site of spring from which is the start of the river Donau. More commonly known to us as the Danube.
We left Donaueschingen after 24hrs and continued south to Zell im Wiesenthal for one night. Pretty little town, but we left on Wednesday lunctime and drove for half an hour to Bad Säckingen. great place. We're here for the weekend so have a good one. I'll update again next week.
