Hot on the heels of my big '0' day came my Mum's 80th. The amazing cake pictured above was made by my youngest sister, Liz. I think she should start in business, although I think her hourly rate would work out at 10p but you can imagine by the look of it the amount of work spent creating it. We had great fun celebrating with a family weekend at Center Parcs. Frolics in the water pictured below.
The other big news was the arrival of our new motorhome. A lovely, luxurious 'A' Class, the Rapido 9090DF. I've taken some photos, but to be honest if you want the best angles the brochure is the place to look. We both felt a bit sad and disloyal having traded in the Wildax, having had so many adventures in her.
We rounded off the end of July with a trip to the Norfolk Showground for the first motorhome show to be held there. It was fun to go and meet up with old friends, as well as making some new ones. But what about the weather? Dismal, almost as bad as when I did my half marathon there at the end of November last year. Photo gallery below.
